Rational Registry collects only the personal data that is strictly necessary for the operation of its services. This may include: email addresses provided voluntarily through subscription or enquiry forms; technical data incidentally collected by server infrastructure (including IP address, browser type, and referring URL); and correspondence data submitted through direct email contact.
We do not collect payment data directly. All financial transactions are processed through independent, licensed third-party escrow and settlement services. We do not operate a payment infrastructure and do not store financial instrument data of any kind.
Personal data collected by Rational Registry is used exclusively for the following purposes: responding to acquisition enquiries and correspondence; delivering Journal subscription communications where expressly requested; maintaining the operational integrity of the Registry; and complying with applicable legal obligations. We do not use personal data for advertising, profiling, or any form of automated decision-making.
Correspondence data is retained for the minimum period necessary to resolve the subject matter of the communication and for a reasonable period thereafter to satisfy legal and operational continuity requirements. Subscription data is retained until the subscriber withdraws consent, which may be done at any time by contacting us at the address below or by following the instructions on the Subscribe page. We do not sell, license, or transfer personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Subject to applicable data protection legislation, individuals have the right to: request access to personal data held about them; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of data where no legitimate basis for retention exists; and withdraw consent to any processing based on consent. Rational Registry implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting personal data, we will notify affected parties in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
